Who are we?
ZOMA has a long history linked to the Malambo Industrial Park-PIMSA, a company with extensive and recognized experience in the development and management of industrial parks, operation of public services, and construction of rental buildings that are tailored to the needs of each of our clients.
1980 – 2000 | The Origins
PIMSA was born as the first industrial park authorized by the National Government of Colombia, developing its own service infrastructure to house important companies in the industrial sector, including water and sewerage systems operated directly by the park.
During the nineties, PIMSA strengthened its logistics integration with the creation of Puerto PIMSA, a river port on the Magdalena River, and Navesco, the only shipping company of Colombian origin, thus expanding its capacity to offer foreign trade and logistics services to its linked companies.
2001 – 2020 | Expansion and Recognition
PIMSA expanded its value proposition with the development of custom warehouses for industrial, commercial, and logistics companies, strengthening its business ecosystem.
In 2018, it was recognized as the first Eco-Industrial Park in Colombia by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), within the GEIPP program, highlighting its contribution to sustainable industrial development and the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In 2019, it promoted the creation of the SENA Industrial de Malambo, strengthening the training of specialized human talent for the productive sector.
During this period, more than 70 hectares were developed, consolidating an industrial cluster of companies in the metal-mechanical, chemical, food and beverage, logistics, and service sectors, generating nearly 4,000 direct jobs.
From 2020 | ZOMA is Born
PIMSA promoted the development of ZOMA, the first free zone in the municipality of Malambo, created to strengthen the region's industrial ecosystem, attract national and foreign investment, and consolidate new opportunities for economic growth and foreign trade.
